New Player Recruitment Dates

New to the league? No problem! Spring Recruitment is an opportunity for new players to check out NSL and get a little practice in before the regular season starts. All skill levels are welcomed.

New Player Recruitment will be held on  Saturday, January 29th, 2022, and Sunday, January 30th, 2022, 10:00am - 1:00pm, City Park Softball Complex, 1 Diagonal Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124. All new players who are not rated must attend one of these recruitment sessions. New players can come to recruitment, then decide to register.

Can't make it but want to play? Don't worry. Future Recruitment Dates TBA!

New players will be evaluated through hitting, fielding, throwing, and running drills (no pressure! seriously). Afterwards, you will be placed in the appropriate division based on your assigned rating. Please bring a bat and a glove if you have one. We will be limited on extras.

Ratings InformationOur league uses a rating system that governs experience and ability, but most importantly, safety. Players are rated on a numeric scale (1-28) based on a set of questions (found here) that apply to the player. There is a C, D, and E division (C being the highest numeric value). Most players in this league are rated 13 and below. Anyone rated below 8 plays in E. Anyone rated above 12 plays in C. Anyone rated in between plays in D. New Player Recruitment helps us determine which division is the right fit for you!
